Orgnization
Les Amis de Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic, Inc. is a non-profit corporation chartered by the State of Louisiana on September 4, 2014. It is governed by a Board of Directors elected by members of the organization and charged with the management of all the affairs of the corporation.
Mission
The mission of Les Amis de Longfellow-Evangeline is to recruit community volunteers committed to promoting, supporting, and enhancing the use and enjoyment of Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site with its unique objective to educate the public on the French-speaking Creole and Acadian immigrants who began settling in South Louisiana in the 1800s.
To fulfill this mission, Les Amis de Longfellow-Evangeline shall generate and create additional resources, through gifts of time, money, and/or other appropriate resources.
